Your stay
Yes, of course! Children of all ages are welcome at La Réserve. Only guided walking safaris and our Lodges are not available for children under 5, for insurance reasons.
The Brame and Privilège stays can be enjoyed by families with young children, but only if the safaris are fully privatized.
Yes, we have made the necessary adjustments to accommodate disabled people and people with reduced mobility. A parking space, an access ramp and adapted toilets. A bioclimatic room is also available on the first floor of La Villa Bioclimatique.
Our rooms are available from 2.30pm and must be vacated by 10am.
A flat rate of 25 euros / room is charged for each additional hour, if you wish to make more use of your room.
For ecolodges, arrivals and settling-in are scheduled for 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm / 3.45 pm, at the latest, so as to be ready for the start of the guided walking safari. Lodges must be vacated by 10 a.m.
Guests are welcome to arrive before these times, and leave after check-out time, to take advantage of facilities such as the Musée en Plein Air, the Piscine Naturelle (afternoon), petanque courts, relaxation areas, restaurant, store, snack bar, etc.
Once you've made your reservation, you'll receive a message on the morning of your arrival day with information on how to get to the estate and basic information (weather, opening hours, etc.).
For guests arriving after reception has closed, we send another message (or call) with the following information: gate code, access description, etc.
Once on site, you will be greeted at the restaurant. On-site staff will accompany you to your accommodation.
Options can be added at any time directly from the website, or by telephone. Our assistants will be happy to advise you on options, schedules and feasibility within your existing program.
It is possible to book private accommodation at La Réserve (on condition that all rooms and lodges are reserved in season). However, these projects need to be studied on a case-by-case basis and tailored to your needs. In fact, privatization can generate nuisances likely to disturb the well-being and balance of the site. We study each request to ensure that it fits in with the life of La Réserve. We invite you to discuss your project with our secretariat.
With every booking, you have the option of taking out change insurance, which allows you to cancel your service up to 12 hours before it begins, for any reason. It can only be used once. If you choose not to take out this insurance, cancellations are decided by the management according to the weather conditions on site.
Rain or snow are not grounds for cancellation, unless there are obvious risks for humans and animals. If you choose not to come to La Réserve of your own free will, the reservation is deemed to have been made.
Food of any kind (solid or liquid - beverages) is strictly forbidden on safaris. The same applies to cigarettes and vaporizers.
You must be well-shod, as these are wilderness safaris, and dressed appropriately for the weather, as La Réserve is situated at an altitude of 1200m. There are no restrictions on the color of clothing or the use of umbrellas.
On the other hand, any objects that might frighten the animals can wait until you get home (kites, musical instruments, toys, balloons, etc.).
Animals
At La Réserve des Monts d'Azur, our philosophy is that Man is the guest of the animals. We offer activities that give you the chance to see these wild animals up close, in complete safety, but without ever disturbing their comfort. It is strictly forbidden and impossible to pet the animals.
Pets are not allowed at La Réserve, so it's best to keep your little (or big) companions at home. This is particularly important for health reasons. As La Réserve is home to endangered animals, we must take care to preserve them.
If you don't have a pet sitter, we have a shaded area where you can leave your pet in your car, under our supervision. We only have one pitch, so please contact us to make sure it's available on the day of your visit!
The wild animals of La Réserve live in freedom - or semi-liberty, as they are protected from the road. They are self-sufficient, feed, reproduce and live alone in the heart of nature. Our role with them is one of observation and surveillance. We make sure that "everything goes well" for them, but we don't interfere in their day-to-day "survival".
