Premium Stay

A UNIQUE ENCOUNTER WITH NATURE

THE EXPERIENCE

In two days and one night, this stay distils the very essence of La Réserve: a genuine immersion in the heart of 700 hectares of unspoilt nature. To be experienced alone, with family or with friends, from December to August (unavailable in September–October).

This stay is organised as follows:

  • Guided safari, alone or in a small group, in search of large herbivores (bison, deer, Przewalski horses…). Led by a naturalist guide with whom you will share far more than a simple safari: fascinating conversations, suspended moments, and the rare opportunity to step behind the scenes of life in the wild. Allow yourself to be surprised by the magic of this place.
  • Privileged observation periods, to understand how the ecosystem functions and self-regulates.
  • An overnight stay in ecological accommodation, in absolute peace and quiet, to make the most of the experience and restore your energy.

This Premium Stay is a simple, honest and sincere experience, where disconnecting from the everyday comes naturally and the living world reclaims its rightful place.

THE PROGRAMME

Day 1 :

  • 3:00 pm — Arrival: Welcome and introduction to La Réserve.
  • 4:00 pm or 5:00 pm — Departure for a guided walking safari. Heading towards the wetlands of La Réserve to appreciate the rich diversity of aquatic habitats — and, if you are lucky, the spectacle of bison and deer bathing!
  • From 7:00 pm — Dinner at the restaurant LE TAKHI.
  • Overnight stay in a room at the bioclimatic villa: From your terrace or balcony, take the time to watch the aerial ballet of swallows and bats, or to listen to the call of the Scops Owl.

Day 2 :

  • 8:00 am — Buffet breakfast featuring home-made, locally sourced and organic products, served at the LE TAKHI restaurant.
  • 9:00 am — Departure for a safari on the higher grounds of La Réserve. You will take part in scientific surveys, identifying the fauna present in these unique habitats. In spring, females conceal themselves here to give birth and protect their young.
  • 12:00 pm — Lunch at the LE TAKHI restaurant.
  • Free early afternoon — The ideal time to visit the Open-Air Museum, before departing with eyes and hearts full of unforgettable images.

A unique experience that our family did yesterday at the Reserve des Monts-Azur. We've seen the wild european buffalos, the deers and the wild horses that originated in Mongolia. This reserve is a 700 hectares with free wild animals roaming around the place without human help. They co-exist in this habitat. I was amazed to see them sooo close! It's a different experience than seeing animals on captivity. I recommend for families visiting this place:-)

Not far from the city, nice drive!
If you’re gonna take a carriage, you can see the animals closer and there’s no need to wear sneakers if you’re not gonna do the promenade.
Carriage: 1 hour
Walking: 1.5-2hrs

This is a great mini safari in the mountains! You can see horses and bisons in the wild. Walking tours or in the carriage. Very beautiful nature and nice staff.
Please note that it is usually cold in the mountains so dress appropriately (long sleeves and trousers are recommended).
You can have a very good lunch at moderate price in the restaurant. Book in advance.
Nice boutique with souvenirs.
Children liked the tour very much.
We did not stay for the night.

Very beautiful reserve with stunning views. You can observe the animals in peace. Don't forget the binoculars! The crepes were very delicious.
Attention for non-French speakers: we had asked before booking if an English-speaking tour guide is available and this was not a problem. Unfortunately, on-site this was limited to just a few sentences and we understood almost nothing. That was very unfortunate!

Where do i start... Amazing place, the guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, great fun and spoke excellent English! We booked private carriage tour for our family. We loved seeing all the animals and learning a lot. We went to the restaurant for lunch, they had a great selection including children's menu. The food was beautiful and plentiful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone local or tourists! Thank you
