TREETOP CABIN STAY

SUSPENDED IN THE AIR… AND IN TIME

The Experience

Are you looking for an unusual stay in the Alpes-Maritimes? Then you have come to the right place. In Thorenc, near Gréolières-les-Neiges, La Réserve des Monts d’Azur invites you to spend a night in its treetop cabin.
A truly romantic retreat for two! Comfortably settled in your bed or in an armchair on the terrace, you can gaze out over the vast unspoilt landscapes of the haut-pays grassois. It may come as a surprise, but the Alpes-Maritimes are brimming with natural treasures, provided you venture a little way from the Côte d’Azur.

Just 1 hour from Nice and Cannes, spend a night in the peace of nature (far from the noise and bustle of the coast). Our suspended cabin is a truly unique experience.

Constructed from canvas and wood, resting on a sturdy metal structure suspended between 2 large pine trees, this cabin is an unconventional yet comfortable place to stay.
It sleeps 2 guests in a cosy interior with a pared-back, understated décor. To make the most of La Réserve, you also have access to a wooden terrace where you can dine while watching the reserve’s animals pass by.
Breakfast and dinner are delivered to the terrace, with views of the Cheiron mountain (Gréolières-les-Neiges) and the vast grassy plains of La Réserve, where bison and wild horses graze in peaceful contentment.

As evening falls, a member of our team will serve you an aperitif followed by a private dinner. Alone on the terrace of your treetop cabin, you will find yourselves observed by bison, wild horses or deer, who will keep you company for a while before wandering off in search of their own perfect spot for the night.

In the warmer months, from April to October, the sky reveals all its constellations, clearly visible thanks to the complete absence of light pollution. Moments perfectly suited to the conversations that truly matter.
For a sustainable, environmentally responsible form of travel, choose this treetop cabin stay and let yourself be lulled by the song of the birds… your closest neighbours.

A unique experience that our family did yesterday at the Reserve des Monts-Azur. We've seen the wild european buffalos, the deers and the wild horses that originated in Mongolia. This reserve is a 700 hectares with free wild animals roaming around the place without human help. They co-exist in this habitat. I was amazed to see them sooo close! It's a different experience than seeing animals on captivity. I recommend for families visiting this place:-)

Not far from the city, nice drive!
If you’re gonna take a carriage, you can see the animals closer and there’s no need to wear sneakers if you’re not gonna do the promenade.
Carriage: 1 hour
Walking: 1.5-2hrs

This is a great mini safari in the mountains! You can see horses and bisons in the wild. Walking tours or in the carriage. Very beautiful nature and nice staff.
Please note that it is usually cold in the mountains so dress appropriately (long sleeves and trousers are recommended).
You can have a very good lunch at moderate price in the restaurant. Book in advance.
Nice boutique with souvenirs.
Children liked the tour very much.
We did not stay for the night.

Very beautiful reserve with stunning views. You can observe the animals in peace. Don't forget the binoculars! The crepes were very delicious.
Attention for non-French speakers: we had asked before booking if an English-speaking tour guide is available and this was not a problem. Unfortunately, on-site this was limited to just a few sentences and we understood almost nothing. That was very unfortunate!

Where do i start... Amazing place, the guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, great fun and spoke excellent English! We booked private carriage tour for our family. We loved seeing all the animals and learning a lot. We went to the restaurant for lunch, they had a great selection including children's menu. The food was beautiful and plentiful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone local or tourists! Thank you
