The Animal Reservation of the Monts d’Azur is close to Nice, to Cannes (50km/31miles) and to Grasse (30km/19miles). It is a Reservation where ancestral and amazing species from the European fauna are living freely together : European bison, deer, wild boar, Przewalski horse, roe, chamois, eagle, griffon vulture, … and more.
Which means, several hundred species, all families combined. A large part of them, still remains very discrete,live within the 700 hectares (about 1,730 acres) of the Reservation offering a multitude of habitats to hide from the visitors eyes !
Inside of the Animal Reservation, humans are just guests who witness, in any season, the usual life of the European fauna and the role it plays in the dynamics of ecosystems. You will witness complex natural phenomena that arouse the curiosity of the visitor and encourage respect for nature.
